Long lists that stay quick
Paging through everything that grows, a consistent icon set, and five repairs to sending.
Paging through everything that grows, a consistent icon set, and five repairs to sending.
Every list in Fridgedoor grows. The inbox grows fastest, but runs, suppressions and unsubscriptions all accumulate, and each of them had been loading itself in one go. On a new account that is invisible. On an account with four years of history it is a screen you wait for.
They page properly now — you move forward and back through a list rather than waiting for all of it.
### Five repairs to sending
These are the ones worth reading, because each of them could cost you money or credibility with a customer:
- **A re-run could re-send to a whole group.** If a run failed part-way and you ran it again, everyone could receive a second message. A re-run now covers only what it should. - **A failed send could report as delivered.** The worst kind of defect: you believed a customer had been told, and they had not. - **A message that had already gone out could go a second time.** - **A failed run's status could fail to be written**, leaving a run that looked like it was still going. - **A slow reply from a message carrier could hold a send open indefinitely** rather than failing and being retried.
### Impersonation is visible
When someone from Fridgedoor signs in as you to look at a problem, a banner says so for as long as it lasts. Support access that leaves no trace on the screen is support access you cannot audit.
