Fridgedoor is made by Fridgedoorapp Ltd, a New Zealand company. We build one product: a shared queue for the reminders, bookings and replies that a business with several branches has to keep track of.

Fridgedoor was built around vehicle servicing and inspection reminders, and it fits any trade that works from a due date and a calendar. The idea has not changed since the first version: a reminder goes out, the customer answers on the phone that buzzed, and the answer lands in a queue the whole business can see.

The web application Fridgedoor runs on today dates from April 2022, and it replaced an earlier version — part of that first release was carrying the old one's data across. It was substantially rebuilt again over August and September 2026. The changelog covers all of it, including the quiet years, and says so plainly rather than presenting a straight line.

There is no self-serve signup, deliberately. A Fridgedoor account is not useful until it knows your branches, your opening hours, your sending domains and your templates, and handing that configuration to someone on the day they know least about the product is the worst moment to do it. So we set the account up with you first. It is worse for our signup numbers and better for the people using it.
