Changelog

April – August 2022

The web application Fridgedoor runs on today

The current application's first release, replacing the version that came before it.

Where this log begins.

Fridgedoor is older than this — the application released here replaced an earlier one, and part of the work was carrying that version's data across. The earlier codebase is not in the repository this changelog is written from, so its history is not available to write up honestly, and we would rather start the log at a point we can stand behind than reconstruct one we cannot.

What this first release contained is recognisably the product today: enquiries and a shared inbox in one place, email replies handled as part of the conversation rather than in a separate mailbox, SMS and email templates with merge fields, and runs sent from them.

Two smaller things from this period that have earned their keep since: a per-merchant view of what a month of SMS actually cost, and the ability to retry a run that failed part-way rather than rebuilding it from the start.

  • Enquiries and the shared inbox, in one place, with email replies handled as part of the conversation.
  • SMS and email templates with merge fields, and runs sent from them.
  • Sign in, forgot password, and a per-merchant view of what a month of SMS actually cost.
  • A run that failed part-way can be retried rather than rebuilt.

Talk to us

See it against your own reminder volume.

Tell us your branches, your channels, and roughly how many customers come due each month. If it is not a fit, we will say so.

  • A mapped plan for your locations, domains and templates
  • A written quote covering seats, SMS volume and sending domains
  • An account set up with your own templates before anyone logs in
