Customers, groups and imports

The period Fridgedoor stopped being a place you typed a list into and became a place you brought one to.

Before this, getting a list of customers into Fridgedoor meant typing it in. That is fine for a demonstration and impossible for a garage with four thousand service records in a job-management system it already pays for.

Customers became a record in their own right, with an import — so the list you already keep somewhere else can be brought across rather than re-entered. Groups arrived alongside, carrying their own columns and custom fields, with the runs sent to a group listed against it.

### The preview

The preview of a message before a run goes out was added here, and it is probably the single most important thing in this period. A reminder run is not undoable. Being able to see the message as a named customer will actually receive it — merge fields filled in, wording as it will read — before anything leaves is the difference between a mistake you catch and a mistake four thousand people receive.

new

  • Customers became a first-class record, with an import.
  • Groups, with their own columns, their own custom fields, and the runs sent to them.
  • A preview of a message before the run goes out.

improved

  • The mailbox screens were reworked, and search across lists was made usable on a long list.

fixed

  • Adding and removing a group, and giving a group's permissions to a user, both stopped failing.

Talk to us

See it against your own reminder volume.

Tell us your branches, your channels, and roughly how many customers come due each month. If it is not a fit, we will say so.

  • A mapped plan for your locations, domains and templates
  • A written quote covering seats, SMS volume and sending domains
  • An account set up with your own templates before anyone logs in
