A console you can link into
Every screen has a real address, so a link to one is a link someone else can open.
Every screen has a real address, so a link to one is a link someone else can open.
The console used to be one address. Wherever you navigated to, the bar at the top of the browser said the same thing — which meant you could not bookmark a location, could not send a colleague a link to the screen you were looking at, and could not use the back button without leaving entirely.
Every screen has its own address now. This sounds like a technical detail and is not: "have a look at this" is how work actually gets handed between two branches, and until this release the answer was always a set of directions rather than a link.
### Permissions enforced properly
Hiding a button someone is not allowed to press is a courtesy, not a control. Permission checks are now enforced on the screen itself, so reaching it another way — a bookmarked address, a link from a colleague with different access — gets the same answer as the hidden button would have implied.
This became necessary precisely because screens gained their own addresses. Once anything can be linked to, everything must check.
